Atlus gab bekannt, dass Persona 5 leider nicht wie geplant am 14. Februar erscheinen kann. Stattdessen soll das Spiel nun im April in den Handel kommen. Dank der Verspätung, wird Persona 5 aber nun japanische und englische Sprachausgabe beinhalten:
“Persona 5 set the gold standard for Atlus with its launch in Japan, and we wanted to put the utmost care into ensuring it winds up the best when it launches in the west,
